One of the newest members of Marriott International’s “Autograph Collection”, Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano resort was designed as a one-of-a-kind legacy project that will stand for many decades to come. Located along the historic El Camino Real road (“the King’s Highway”) and across the street from Mission San Juan Capistrano, which is known as the “jewel of the missions”, Inn at the Mission compliments and pays homage to early California architecture. The site consists of 125 rooms, 7 suites located within the three commercial buildings, including an exclusive villa building, spa, café, restaurant, fitness center, pool & hot tub, and over 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space. The main hotel building is designed to have an upscale Spanish hacienda feel. The commercial building with the café, spa, and ballroom was designed in Monterey style. The villa building, closest to the Mission, has adobe/ Mission-inspired architecture. The property was intentionally designed to create a timeless, village-like environment that appears to have been built over time.

The Highlights: The Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano was designed by Kay Lang + Associates as a legacy project. Located along historic El Camino Real road and across from Mission San Juan Capistrano, the resort comprises three buildings celebrating California’s architectural heritage. With 125 rooms and seven suites, the primary hotel emulates an upscale Spanish hacienda, while the second structure is dedicated to villas and features Mission-inspired adobe architecture. Conceived with Monterey-style details, the third building houses a cafe, spa, and ballroom. The resort’s three strains of Californian design support the team’s ultimate vision of forming a timeless, village-like environment that appears to have developed over the years.
